ACADEMIC INTERVENTION IN COMPUTING &

BUSINESS STUDIES

  • Exam Skills 

KS4 Exam Skills club run Thursday and Friday for both Computer Science and Business Studies on a rotation with all other option subjects. 

  • 1:1 Support

Support is given to students who are either struggling or cause for concern.

  • Revision Packs

These are provided to all the students which contains all topics covered with questions that they can work through in order to help them better prepare for the exams.

  • Books

A revision guide and exam practice workbook is available for students to buy for both Computer Science and Business Studies.

  • Monitoring

Regular monitoring of students carried out through termly cycles, Narrowing the Gap and Curriculum Meetings to identify underperforming students so that relevant interventions can be put in place. 

COMPUTING & BUSINESS STUDIES

ENRICHMENT & EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Enrichment clubs run every Monday after school where students get the opportunity to build and program computers, program Micro-bits and Raspberry Pi's. Together with designing games using Scratch programming.
