Important information for Year 11s - The Curriculum map
is exciting and dynamic, with a broad curriculum in KS3 preparing the way for students to follow diverse interests and pathways in KS4.
We understand that our students need to be prepared for the fast evolving future where vital skills like resilience and independent thinking are as important as core skills and teamwork. We support our students in becoming global citizens and understand the importance of their contribution to social cohesion.
KEY STAGE 3
We follow the National Curriculum in years 7 and 8, with GCSE studies beginning at the start of year 9.
Key Stage 3 learning combines core subjects of English, Maths & Science, alongside:
*History *Geography *RE *Citizenship
*Modern Foreign Languages
*Art *Music *Drama *PE
KEY STAGE 4
Our curriculum at this stage is designed to give students the best possible preparation for key stage 5 study.
Key Stage 4 offers learning pathways to best suit individual students. English baccalaureate is offered and students are encouraged to take a language and history/geography.
